Distance Challenge @ Kearns Ice Oval

That’s a wrap! The distance challenge this past weekend closed up our race schedule for the indoor season (unless you are going to the Simplot Games in Idaho). We had a lot of season bests, PR’s, and fun times at this meet. Here are some of the highlights: ▪️In the mile: Kenzy & Brynn broke 6, Gentry ran another mile PR with a 5:33, Ataiya was one second away from breaking 7, Megan, Ally & Mckall dipped under 6:30, Alex helped Riley break 5 for the first time by leading their heat, Ethan M dipped under 4:50, Levi ran 5:11, Zak broke 5:20, Enoch dipped under 5:40, Patrick dipped under 6, Josh Ballard went 6:07.▪️In the 400: Alissa (64), Katera (67), Abby (67), Cat (81), Spencer (52), Landon (53). ▪️In the 800: Gentry (2:21, 3rd place, and indoor school record), Kenzy and Abby broke 2:40 (first time ever for Kenzy!), Brynn (2:41), Josh PRed with 2:11 & Russell PR with 2:12, and Toby proved to be the fastest 8th grader by breaking 3 again.
