Head Coach

Coach Taylor

Taylor (Gomez) Hatch grew up in Riverton, UT. She first started her running career in the 6th grade, where she competed in Riverton's little kid track club. She advanced to the Hershey State finals in the 100m where she ran a 7th place finish.

Although Taylor started running Track for Riverton High during her Freshman year, she did not start Cross Country until the summer of her Junior year. She decided to do this because her coach said it would help with her endurance for track. The beginning of Cross Country was rough. Taylor was always in the back. She always wanted to walk and had very negative thoughts. As she started to get more used to it, it became more interesting to her. As she continued to progress she decided to make it a goal to be on varsity by the end of the season. Because of that goal and determination, Taylor ended up running varsity at region and placing 5th on her team at state. Taylor continued to run cross country the following year but had to sit out most of the fall season due to injury.

In 2011, Taylor received a Full Ride Athletic Scholarship to UVU. She was recruited to run Track and Cross Country.

While Taylor was at UVU she was able to travel around the USA for Cross Country. She was also a part of 2 Conference Championships and ran at the Mountain Region XC Championships for the NCAA in 2013.

This is Coach Taylor's fourth season with the Jaguars and first season as head coach.
