
COACH TAYLOR
Taylor (Gomez) Hatch grew up in Riverton, UT. She first started her running career in the 6th grade, where she competed in Riverton's little kid track club. She advanced to the Hershey State finals in the 100m where she placed 7th.
Taylor did not realize her potential until her Junior year. She qualified in 5 events for the 5A state meet. In 2011, Taylor received a Full Ride Athletic Scholarship to UVU.

Utah Valley University
In 2011, Taylor attended Utah Valley University on an Athletic Scholarship. She was converted to a middle distance runner and ran cross country. Although the transition was tough, it was well worth it.
In 2015, Taylor graduated from UVU with a Bachelors degree in History Education. She continued to pursue her 5th and final year of eligibility while working on her Health Endorsement. She ended her 5-year college career in the spring of 2016.

This is Coach Taylor's 8th year coaching. She coached junior track for 5 years at Marv Jensen Rec Center: 2 years with sprints & 3 years with distance. The last 2 years where she served as the Track Coach Supervisor. This is her 4th year at WJ and second year as Head Coach. She is excited to help athletes reach their potential. GO JAGS!!

Reese Ferguson

Hometown: West Jordan, Utah
Graduated from WJHS in 2000.
Has two bachelors degrees from the University of Utah. One in Film and Media Arts, the second in Spanish Teaching.
Teaches Spanish & Film at WJHS.
Hobbies: writing screen plays as well as photography & video.
Experience: Ran the mile, 2 mile, 800 and 4x400 in high school. Also coaches cross country.
Goal is to get back in shape so he can run a 10k later this year.
Also coaches competition soccer.
Most excited to see the athletes who are coming back and trying the mile. Really wants to see someone take that record off the wall since he was unable to. He didn't do it but would love to help coach the athlete that finally does.
